On 7 things from last week (7/10/23)

  1. Centennial Cone Park. Every time I’ve attempted to hike this lovely mountain park, it’s been on a “bike-only” day. But no bikes during the week! A really beautiful view from up there.
  2. Prickly pears in bloom. I noticed them on this hike—and then started seeing them in neighbors’ yards! A very pretty bloom.
  3. Short work week. Not that I’m working (still on parental leave), but there’s a glow to everything with a short work week.
  4. Experience and Education by John Dewey. An interesting book to do a real close read of.
  5. Deck research. Prepping for the next big project: replacing the deck boards and railing of our deck!
  6. A walk around the neighborhood. On Sunday, our toddler suggested a “walk around the neighborhood” instead of a visit to the playground. We remain mystified.
  7. 26 CDs I Found Cleaning Out My Subaru Outback After a Car Accident. Finally finished this fun little project. Ebook available here!
