Telluride Bluegrass Festival. The 50th installment (sort of) was a little disappointing, with freezing rain most of the two days that I attended. The Nickel Creek set was a blast, though!
Parenting with friends. One week, three couples, four children. It’s amazing how more parents around can make parenting both easier and yet more stressful than usual.
“When You Come Back Down” by Nickel Creek. Ah, what a beautiful song. I had heard it before, but seeing Nickel Creek live last week was the first time I’d really heard it.
Futureman playing guitar. The “drummer” in Bela Fleck’s band The Flecktones is incredible.
Different trees. I loved being out on the Western Slope of Colorado for many reasons, but one big one was to really notice how different the trees are out there on the other side of the state.
Old playlists. I didn’t make any driving playlists for the 12.5 hours of driving that we did, but that meant that we got to revisit a few old favorites, such as the playlist that begins with as many “Jane” songs (one of our cats is named Jane) as I could muster. There are a lot of them!
Wagons. Little kids like strollers, but LOVE wagons.
