On 7 things from last week (5/22/23)

  1. Paternity leave. I’m looking, as of last Friday, at 10 weeks of no work and lots of hanging out with a 4-month old!
  2. Marketing Excellence Awards. I’m humbled, to say the least, to have received the Marketer of the Year award from SMPS Colorado last week.
  3. Leaves. It always takes longer in Colorado—but the leaves are finally on the trees! The days of barren spindly branches are done with. (For now.)
  4. Miller moths. Another seasonal delight that had my toddler terrified and delighted.
  5. Spray paint. I’m somewhat ashamed to admit that last week marked the first time I’ve ever used spray paint. That stuff is great!
  6. Anything Is Possible by Elizabeth Strout. A delightful collection of linked stories that brings to life the anecdotes threaded throughout Strout’s novel My Name Is Lucy Barton.
  7. Garden in a box. Our latest installment of the “garden in a box” program happened last week. We are slowly replacing our front lawn with “water-wise” plants.
